The National Prison Service is a government agency within the Republic Security Department, responsible for managing the federal corrections and internment system. It owns and operates all federal prisons, internment camps, and labour camps for all prisoners, as well as settlement and internment camps for alien criminals and undesirables. It houses and performs correctional duties, including administration of the death penalty, upon inmates who have been convicted of violating laws at all levels of government, not merely violators of federal laws. The Internment Camp Inspectorate also conducts housing and administration of all servile aliens, deploying them to public work projects or renting them to individuals and organizations.
